Melanie Webb holds an Hons. B.Sc. in psychology from McMaster University, an M.A. in psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. She also holds a Performer’s ARCT (Piano) from the Royal Conservatory of Music, achieved prior to obtaining a Diploma in Music Performance at McMaster University.
During her studies at the University of Toronto, Ms. Webb was actively involved with the student legal aid clinic, Downtown Legal Services, where she worked as a case-worker and shift leader, delivered Public Legal Education seminars at community groups, and coordinated satellite clinics at Out of the Cold and Street Outreach Services.
Ms. Webb was called to the bar in 2008, after articling with prominent criminal defence lawyer Alan Gold in Toronto where she assisted in matters of varying complexity including trials, appeals, and extradition proceedings.
She then went on to work as staff duty counsel at the busy Brampton courthouse before joining Adler Bytensky Prutschi as an associate.
